On this video it shows panel fabrication on a 1952 Porsche 356 split screen 'streamliner' outlaw. Right hand rear quarter was replaces due to many older repairs cracking and corroded and roof panel replacement due to heavy corrosion from the inside leaving many pin holes. To avoid confusion this is an outlaw car and the roof was modified / replaced many years ago from a bent screen sunroof car.

What a beauty, and many years of pure joy to the lucky owner. Something so precious will never be allowed to deteriorate again. This car is far from reaching half of its life span.

Ah, 1955. The best year ever in my case. It’s a pity they can’t fix me up at 69 years of age as well as they fixed the 69 year old car. Flimsy, narrow looking wheels in those days huh? Not like my waistline which is a spare tyre on its own. I wonder what the rebuild is worth? Yes, good old 1955.

Basically, a Beetle with that engine…? 😂 Lot of dollars for a new piece of history? All good. I waste my money as well on many impractical things.
At 9.29 min the panels look like they have not been finished off with lead or body filler.! Then it went in for PAINTING.!!!!

Definitely not a restoration, it is a complete new fabrication.
That is a perfect sports car. It’s beautiful, unique, 70hp, and probably so fun to drive. Kinda the antithesis of the 1000hp pointy whatever.

I used to live next to a guy who had a couple of bristol cars and one of these. The 356 had been in an accident, missing passengers door & seat. He moved back to England. Let me have the 356 for $600. I snapped it up.
